Content Authoring - Desktop Experience (PAID)

Content Authoring document editing online allows users to edit Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents without downloading and then re-uploading them. You can stay right in S-Drive and edit your files. For more information on this feature, see Content Authoring - Microsoft Office Integration(Paid feature)

This feature is available in Lightning Experience only. If you have users in your organization who uses S-Drive in both Lightning and Classic, a file locked for editing in Lightning may not show as locked in Classic.

Content Authoring can be purchased alone or with Desktop Experience.

Desktop Experience allows you to see S-Drive files right on your own computer’s desktop. You can upload files or move them around using drag and drop the way you normally do in Windows. If you purchase Desktop Experience, Content Authoring is automatically included.

To configure:

  1. Navigate to S-Drive Configuration page

  2. Click on Micro Services tab

  3. Scroll to the Content Authoring - Desktop Experience section and click Configure

  4. Choose the option to enable

  5. Choose the number of users you want to enable by using the slider. If you would like more than 100 users, please contact S-Drive Sales. Select the users you want to allow to use the feature(s).

  6. Add https://wopi.sdriveapp.com to your Remote Site Settings

    1. Go to Setup->Remote Site Settings

    2. Click New Remote Site

    3. Give the setting a name

    4. Enter https://wopi.sdriveapp.com for the url

    5. Click Save
