S-Drive 3.8 Documentation

System & Scheduler Settings

These settings cover S-Drive infrastructure and allow control over S-Drive scheduled jobs.

S-Drive File Object Settings

This is a list of S-Drive file objects. This includes our out-of-the-box file objects (Account File, Contact File, Case File, Opportunity File, Lead File) along with any custom file objects you’ve created.

Click the Manage button to see the list and update it if necessary.

Duplicate File Name Preferences

You can configure whether you want to allow uploads of files with the same name as an existing file within the same folder (or at root). It can be configured by object.

Clicking the “Configure” button will take you to a page where you can enable or disable duplicate file upload for each file object (such as Account File, Case File, etc).

  • If duplicate filenames are allowed, a user can upload a file with the same name as a file that already exists.

  • If duplicate filenames are not allowed, the user will get one of two messages depending on their access to the file with the same name.

    • If they have delete access to the existing file of the same name, they will be given the option overwrite the file. If they choose not to, the upload will be canceled.

    • If they do not have delete access to the existing file, they will be told they cannot upload a file of the same name, and be asked to rename their file and try again.

Files with the same name are always allowed in different folders.

Scheduler Settings

S-Drive has several scheduled jobs, and you can control when they run in this section.

Daily SQueue Batch Execution Time is for our job that cleans up any Shortcuts and multi-page Previews and after a file is deleted, as well as copying files from Leads to other objects (depending on configuration) after a Lead in converted.

Daily retention policy batch jobs execution time Set the time you want the retention policy batch job to run. See Records Management (PAID) for more information. This setting only appears if Retention Policy is enabled.

Storage Calculation Frequency S-Drive calculates your S-Drive file storage throughout the day using a batch job. Use this setting to set how frequently the job runs. If your organization has many batch jobs, you can set this to run less frequently to avoid hitting daily limits. When set to Auto, it will run more or less often depending on the number of S-Drive files you have, which determines how many batches are used. The choices are from 2 to 24 times per day. We recommend setting to Auto. However if you have a lot of jobs running in your org, you may want to set this manually to a lower frequency to avoid hitting job limits.

Storage Calculation Start Time This is the time every run of this job will be based on. If your job is running every hour and you set the start time to 3:25 PM, then the job will run at 25 minutes past every hour.

Change Owner and Run Job button Clicking this button makes you the owner of the S-Drive storage job and runs it once. This is useful if the job owner is not a system admin, or the user is inactivated. The job owner will start out as whoever installed S-Drive.

Trusted URLs

S-Drive requires some trusted URLs to be set up. These are normally set up during package installation and when creating new buckets. However they can be checked here and added as well.

The button provided will create the correct Trusted URL, but you can also check them from Setup->Trusted URLs. The required Trusted URLs are as follows. Make sure to check the boxes for connect-src and img-src:

  • https://<bucketName>.s3.<region>.amazonaws.com(Replace <region> with your bucket region, e.g., us-east-1)
